The Pendant

At the center rests a hand-carved and freehand-burned olive wood pendant inscribed with the Phoenician word 𐤇𐤉 (ḤY), an ancient Semitic root associated with life, living force, vitality, and animated presence. Burned vertically into the wood, the inscription functions as a direct declaration of sacred living force carried within the object itself.

Olive wood carries long associations with continuity, sacred endurance, cultivated life, and devotional craftsmanship throughout the Mediterranean world. The naturally irregular form of the pendant was intentionally preserved to maintain the feeling of an inscribed ritual object rather than a polished ornamental centerpiece.

Suspended beneath the pendant rests an aged brass ankh integrated directly into the tassel structure, reinforcing the talisman's focus on maintained spiritual fire and living sacred presence.

Should the cord eventually give under long-term use, this is considered part of the piece's natural lifecycle. Rebuilding services are available if you would like the piece restrung and returned to working condition.
