A portable talisman created to support calm, grounding, and the gradual return to inner balance when the mind becomes overstimulated or scattered.

Created as a companion piece to larger ritual talismans, this smaller design offers a way to keep the same intention close at hand throughout daily life. It carries the same symbolic structure and materials while remaining compact and easy to carry.

Calm rarely appears instantly. More often it returns gradually as the mind settles, tension releases, and breathing slows. This piece was created as a quiet reminder of that process.

Its natural wood tones, soft ocean-like marine agate, and grounding rosewood reflect the balance between emotional stillness and physical steadiness.

The Pendant

At the center rests a 1.5 inch hand-burned wooden pendant depicting a low horizon with gentle waves beneath a rising or setting sun.

The horizon has long symbolized balance between opposing forces: sky and earth, movement and stillness, thought and emotion. The calm water beneath it reflects the quieting of emotional turbulence when the surface of the mind grows still.

The design is intentionally simple. Like watching distant water at rest, the symbol invites the eye and mind to slow.

A silver colored lotus charm rests over the pendant. Across many traditions the lotus represents calm emerging from difficulty and the quiet unfolding of clarity after periods of stress.

Together these symbols reflect the central intention of the talisman: calm is not forced. It appears naturally when space is created for the mind to settle.

Sacred Materials

Marine Agate
Agate has long been associated with steadiness and emotional balance. The soft cloudy whites, greys, and earthy tones of marine agate evoke shoreline stone and quiet water, reflecting natural calm and emotional settling.

Rosewood Beads
Warm natural wood provides grounding stability within the design. Wood beads have been used for centuries in meditation and contemplative practices, supporting patience, presence, and steady focus.

Silver Colored Metal Accents
Decorative metal spacers add structure and contrast throughout the beadwork while complementing the lotus charm and hardware.

Glass Seed Beads (Brown, Grey, and Cream)
Neutral seed beads create rhythm and visual balance throughout the strands while echoing the layered tones of sand, stone, and shoreline sediment.

Leather Cord
