One of a kind. This piece will not be recreated in this exact form.
Some talismans are built around opposition. This one was built around convergence.
Centered on eclipse symbolism, alignment, and the meeting point between visible and hidden light, this talisman supports practitioners moving through transitional states, layered perception, and moments where opposing currents must coexist without collapse. Rather than framing light and shadow as enemies, this piece favors integration, discernment, restraint, and internal steadiness during periods of uncertainty, transformation, or shifting perspective.
In simple terms: balance through alignment, clarity within transition, and the ability to navigate both illumination and shadow without losing your center.
The Work This Piece Supports
- Moving through transitional or liminal periods
- Maintaining clarity during changing circumstances
- Balancing action with reflection
- Strengthening discernment during uncertainty
- Navigating layered emotional, spiritual, or ritual states
- Holding opposing truths without fragmentation
- Recognition of hidden patterns or concealed illumination
- Grounded perception rather than reactive extremes
The Pendant
At the center rests a hand-burned wooden pendant built around a partially obscured eclipse form. The divided structure evokes celestial convergence, with light and shadow occupying the same space without fully consuming one another. The design emphasizes alignment, interruption, and the altered perspective created when two forces move into direct relationship.
The burned section is intentionally textured and uneven, reinforcing the organic and transitional nature of eclipse itself: not static balance, but a temporary and powerful moment of convergence. Suspended below is a combined sun and moon charm integrated directly into the tassel structure, reinforcing the current of visible and hidden illumination carried throughout the piece.
Sacred Materials
- Sunstone: vitality, directed action, confidence, warmth, outward illumination
- Labradorite: hidden insight, layered perception, liminality, transitional awareness, concealed light revealed through movement
- Thuja Wood: grounding, stability, calm structure, rooted continuity
- Rainbow Clear Seed Beads: reflected light, shifting perception, amplification through clarity, transitional flow
- Matte Gold Seed Beads: solar resonance, intentional focus, warmth, controlled radiance
- Handburned Wooden Pendant: eclipse symbolism, convergence, layered perception, alignment between opposing currents
- Sun and Moon Charm: visible and hidden illumination, coexistence of dual forces, cyclical movement
- Waxed Cotton Cord: durable organic structure without reliance on heavy hardware
Numerological Structure
Built around the interplay of 2 and 8. Two reinforces duality, convergence, and relationship between opposing currents. Eight reflects cycles, continuity, recurrence, and the returning nature of eclipse itself. Together, the structure favors sustained alignment rather than temporary emotional extremes.
Ritual Applications
- Worn during transitional or threshold work
- Used during ritual focused on balance, discernment, or layered perception
- Placed on an altar during workings involving cycles, alignment, or transformation
- Worked with during meditation involving integration of opposing forces
- Used during periods of uncertainty requiring calm evaluation rather than impulsive reaction
- Incorporated into ritual centered on hidden knowledge, reflection, or eclipse symbolism
Best suited for intentional use rather than casual daily wear due to its length, weight, and structure.
Dimensions
- Neck loop (one side): approximately 19 inches
- Full hanging length: approximately 28 inches
Handcrafted and Consecrated
This piece is entirely one of a kind and will not be recreated in this exact form. Natural variation in wood grain, stone coloration, and bead patterning ensures each element carries its own character. Every talisman is ritually blessed before leaving my hands.
Care and Notes
Handle with care to preserve the longevity of the cord and beadwork. Because the pendant is natural wood and the piece is constructed as beadwork rather than hardware, treat it as a handcrafted ritual object rather than a heavy-duty piece.
Wear over time is expected with natural materials. Should the cord eventually give under long-term use, this is considered part of the piece's natural lifecycle. Rebuilding services are available if you would like the piece restrung and returned to working condition.
Colors may vary slightly from what you see in photos.
