About This Piece
A ritual tray centered on seasonal transition, fire, and the movement into the bright half of the year. Drawn from the traditional symbolism of Beltane, blooming life, sacred flame, and the crossing from the darker half of the year into summer, this piece is both a working tool and a devotional object.
Designed as a working surface for altar practice, offering, or focused ritual work, the layout provides structure while remaining open and adaptable to different forms of use.
Symbolism & Design
- Central Spiral: Reflects growth in motion, expanding outward in a continuous cycle of becoming.
- Double Ring with Floral Elements: Encircles the spiral, referencing the blooming of the land at Beltane and the height of spring turning toward summer.
- Four Directional Flame Points: Divide the outer circle, serving as anchors for fire, protection, and transformation, echoing the traditional Beltane fires used for blessing and boundary crossing.
- Leaf Wreath Border: Forms a contained boundary, reinforcing intention within the working space.
- Corner Burnwork: Carries the presence of rising fire, framing the piece without overwhelming the central field.
The natural wood grain of the acacia remains visible throughout, allowing the character of the material to remain part of the work rather than being covered or flattened.
Each piece is ritually consecrated after completion and before shipping.
